Used to work on it. Marshall Rose code. (lots of lazy eval embedded side-effects in if/then/else logic) but the core of the code is pretty small. his ASN.1 stuff does encode to string, or file descriptor, or parse-struct. I doubt if you'd need the recent code, for a core ASN.1 parser. there are also heaps of stripped-down codebases for SNMP. INRIA did a free parser which was pretty small. Christian Huitema (now with Microsoft research) would know about it. -george
