I have just installed plan9 on a T22 Thinkpad, on which it seems to work
well, in case that is useful information to anybody, with the one small
caveat that the Savage/IX-MV card seems to need to be in 16-bit mode to
function correctly.

I found no reference to using grub for booting plan9 in the wiki; it
turned out to be trivial:

root (device,partition)
chainloader +1
boot

in the grub shell

I have plan9 installed on an 'extended' partition.

I am in Nepal, so I had to create a timezone file, again trivial as
there is no 'daylight saving' time here.

NPT 20700 NTP 20700

(yes, Nepal is GMT +0545)

Should this be added to the distribution?

Alex
