I respectfully disagree. Not everyone likes the same value for tabstop. Some insist it should be 4, some 2, and others 8. Doubtless there are folks out there with other choices. By using the ctrl-I character, people can have the text formatted to their own tastes. (Yes I understand this can cause line wrapping, but at least people have a choice, and the choice works out pretty well in most cases). jcs
