Subject: [9fans] Drawterm question. Related to NAT'ing maybe.
Date: Tue, 9 Mar 2004 14:27:51 -0500	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20040309192751.GA1571@bsd.my.domain> (raw)

I set up a cpu/auth server, and I can drawterm to it from within my
local network, i.e.

	drawterm -a 192.168.0.101 -c 192.168.0.101 -r /usr/glenda

works. I can then login as glenda. However, I can't drawterm from
the outside world. I have cable internet and a D-Link router.
There's a browser-based interface to admin the router, and I have
successfully configured it so I can ssh to my FreeBSD box.
Unfortunately, I don't have those screens in from of me, but
basically I choose the connection type (TCP/UDP) the "external port"
(I've tried 17013 and 567 for drawterm), the "internal port" (also
tried 17013 and 567), and the internal address, which is
192.168.0.101 on my network.

There's also an "Applications Configuration" part for apps that need
ranges of ports. I tried some similar things for drawterm there, but
no joy.

I'm not sure I'm making enough sense here to get help. I guess
basically, if anyone is drawterm-ing to some server through a D-Link
router, how'd you do it?

Thanks.

Greg
