Once I figured out that it was hanging because it was looking for a non-existent keyboard, it boots fine. The problem is that something seems to be wrong with ipconfig. My DHCP server receives the request and responds, but the alpha isn't seeing the reply. Neither is my laptop running plan9 in vmware. I see other DHCP requests and responses just fine. I have no idea what is special about this. Aside from the normal network hardware problems (checked all those already), does anyone have any suggestions on where to look as it relates to plan9? Thanks. -- Christopher Nielsen "They who can give up essential liberty for temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." --Benjamin Franklin
