Subject: [9fans] VirtualPC and kernel recompile causes CPU usage to skyrocket?
Date: Wed, 14 Jul 2004 00:15:43 -0400 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <200407140415.i6E4FhP00696@augusta.math.psu.edu> (raw)
I just recompiled my kernel on my Mac using VirtualPC 6 (CONF=pcf) and
the CPU usage on the machine (the Mac) all of a sudden shot up to 100%;
mouse movements in the virtual PC seem really jerky and everything is
sort of sluggish. Does anyone have any ideas off the top of their head
as to what might be up? Or do I need to dig deeper? I suppose the last
time I mucked with the kernel would have been in January before I went
on active duty. Thanks!
