Subject: [9fans] ps2pdf and sqrts and tables
Date: Mon, 15 Nov 2004 11:54:45 +0100	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <20041115105445.GA18101@SDF.LONESTAR.ORG> (raw)

I wrote a small protocol of a simple 'computation' in troff & co for
some of my pupils.

The postscript output is ok (but not portable, of course). I tried
ps2pdf to get portable documents. The output of ps2pdf doesn't give
correct square root symbols.

The long row is shifted away from the leading unicode 0x221A symbol.

Also, tables look nice in postscript output, but vertical bars have a
small negative vertical offset in pdf output.

I tried different LangueLevels and CompatibilityLevels of ps2pdf (gs).
With no success.

Did someone experience this? What is the problem?
TIA, Heiko
