I might add that doing this shouldn't be too hard.
The FreeBSD vm86 is readable and I've ported it to
other systems recently. I don't have time to do so
again, but the last time I did it, it was a day's worth
of work or so with the right manuals. In any case, the
FreeBSD implementation is a good place to start if you
want to gauge how much work is involved.
