In case anyone's interested, here's a quick and dirty reencode in h264:

my encoding skills are rusty and it seems mencoder does not deal well
with .wmv as input, that's why the size is way bigger than the
original :/
but hey, b/w is cheap nowadays...
If requested, I'll try to do a better one later.
