What can't mk do that demands gmake? There's nothing wrong with mk. It's just that I highly doubt we could get a separate set of mkfiles included in the Go distribution. I've tried to get things going with the smallest set of changes to both Plan 9 and Go and I think using GNU Make is the only way to do that. Anthony
