Understand that "we did this because it was easy and it works so whatever" is perfectly valid. Understand as well that it's also a non-optimal solution, and it's not been without its own problems. The root of the problem isn't that some magical man has to swoop in with all the answers all at once, it's that the core devs don't give a shit, which (again) is their prerogative.
