Hello

Some while back someone posted a link to an site which loaded what
seemed to be a full instance of Inferno in a browser window.

I thought I'd bookmarked the site, but I didn't or cannot find it now.

Anyone recall the post and link?

Thanks.

There is (was) a browser plugin. I imagine an NaCl or PNaCl based version
of emu would be the way to do it these days.

Incidentally, Mycroftiv and I have been plotting an expansion to the
project. Details to follow when we actually ship it. ☺

The original one ran in Internet Explorer. I think the bits are still
included in emu/Nt, but
I'd be surprised it if still worked. It was a response to the contemporary
"browser as operating system" discussion.
We concluded that if the browser were to provide an operating system, it
might as well be a reasonable one
instead of the cruft on offer at the time, and still. Chris Locke quickly
did the work.
A similar project for Netscape ran into various problems with the Netscape
interface of the time,
and was abandoned, since the whole thing was initially just a bit of fun.

I'll get back and have a look at that ... it's actually running an
instance of inferno on your antfarm, right?

And accessing it through noVNC in the browser? ... I might have to shut
down due to power outage here, its thunder and lightning. I'll be back
up tomorrow in any case.
