While I don't know the details of your arrangement I understand that 
you're partial to Microsoft, which is fine, they're a good company.

But people really do need to know about the hazards that were 
inadvertently introduced with UEFI.

Some systems use Ron Minnich's Coreboot, an excellent alternative.
