The last release (and perhaps ones before that) has
code in the kernel to boot from tcp -- it reinserts
the message boundaries like push fcall used to do.
I think I'm the only one who ever used it, and it was
in fact for booting over TCP to u9fs.  

For 9P2000, the mount driver does the right thing 
rather than depend on message boundaries, so no special
code is needed.
