I'm at lsub.org but not clear on the picture of how to download and
set up omero ...
I just got curious.
Got to try the new abaco to read gmail. If it works, I can ditch
firefox from THX and maybe get it back down to < 100 MB ...

I´d use /n/sources/contrib/nemo/sys/src/cmd/omero
various other omero clients are at sys/src/cmd/o* in the same contrib.
If that´s a burden for you, or for any other, I may place binaries somewhere for
anyone wanting to try.
Also, IIRC, there´s a CD image, including binaries linked from some of
our web pages.
