The problem is the time in the RTC chip was wrong. there is a recuring problem that Windows sets the RTC to localtime whereas Unix expects it to be UTC. There is an option to timesync to inform it if you want to continue using localtime on your RTC (because you want to dual boot with windows). -Steve
