I could be wrong but I beleive it went:

	ed - The first Unix editor
	jim - a Mouse _only_ editor on the blit, where everything
		started with a 'j', somthing to do with a jerq
		but I never did find out what that was.
	sam - the end of editor evolution - perfection :-)
