I tried to fight that fight with a cordless Logitech iTouch, X11, xterm and xmodmap and gave up in disgust at some point last week. The _really freaky thing_ is that when I type 8 bit chars on my Swedish qwerty keyboard _in some windows_ I see Cyrillic. I can read it, but it doesn't make matters any better. I won't even touch KDE. If I want a window [xterm] I use 'x': x [ hostname ] Actually I'd like to build jammers for these horrible cordless things :)
