Hi,
In the initial Release 3 (summer of 2000?) the 'src'
command worked for both shell scripts and '8.out' files.
In a distribution that was downloaded from the Plan 9
web site, yesterday, the 'src' command no longer works
for '8.out' files.
I got it to work by modifying /rc/bin/src:
term% diff /rc/bin/src.original /rc/bin/src
7c7
< echo $sym | db $1 | sed '1d;/symbol not found/d;s/.*\(\) //'
---
> echo $sym | db $1 | sed '1,2d;/symbol not found/d;s/.*\(\) //'
There may have been an extra 'dprint' placed in /sys/src/cmd/db/main.c,
which could explain why two lines instead of one must be deleted from
the output of 'db'.
Regards,
Don Brownlee

Yes, a debugging statement leaked during of the last release.
There was a 9fans message about this shortly after. Apologies.
