If you run same card is working ok with X Windows. bandwidths are supperted (ramdac is 170MHz), i have fast edo dram on it. i just cannot imagine where the problem could be. yesterday i started comparison of /sys/src/cmd/aux/vga/virge.c (resp. parts of the kernel) and source of the S3 ViRGE driver in XF86_SVGA server and still haven't found problem... > at a lower refresh rate does that help? > > Russ any ideas (at least starting point, i am unable to find any of S3 ViRGE SDK manuals)?
