Just have to cope with those still seen from the outside world. I have a working trfs that deals with most cases here (still will miss names inside files). I'll send it tomorrow. Changing open just because of this would mean to rethink many tools and nobody knows (because there's no experience with your proposed system) if it would introduce other problems. So I'd vote no.
