I run venti under qemu and xen and kvm and lguest. Works fine.

I never thought about using the linux version. Would be neat if the
venti on plan 9 could be as good as the one on linux, I suppose.

I've never tried to configure a venti anywhere but Plan 9, mainly due to the perception that I wouldn't be able to find my ass with both hands trying to do so.
