I used to have a metal keyboard on an old 286.  I had on hand on it with the
other dangling down when my cat rubbed up and gave me a static shock... the
computer's speaker then went on and stayed on.

It's amazing what you can do to a computer with a PS2 port :-)  (or was that
an AT port).

Luckilly it wasn't completely dead, but I think it didn't like "extra power"
I applied.  I've also not seen a metal keyboard case in a while.  Good old
Packard Bell Legend V and it's 16MHz of glory.
