I think this has as much to do with the state of =A0the linux kernel as the= overall design and ideal therein. =A0It defines the 'new' open sou= rce. =A0 I don't think something this large can benifit anymore from op= en source (as in open 'all the time' to anyone, everywhere -- as op= posed to let's say apple's version of open source dev). =A0The deve= lopment scheme just doesn't scale.
