But, all is not lost... 1. The supermarkets carry a lot better ethnic selection than in the USofA (how about some good pakora or the thai spinach soup at Sainsbury's). 2. The sight kebab wagon when beer is sloshing in your belly is heaven sent. (don't try their burgers). 3. I have had moderate success with shepards pie, but a lot of the potato stuff might be funny. 4. In London do not waste money in restaurants or Chinatown. Pret-a-manger is the best value for your money if you can find one.
