Hangar 18 - Open Source Distributed Technology
A global informal co-operative of amateur and professional computer and
technology users focused on using Open Source technology for our problem
solutions. In particular we use Linux, Plan 9, & Inferno as a base for our
projects. The work is based arond a general 'tit-for-tat' approach to
sharing of resources. Please visit our homepage for more information about
what we're up to!

Events & News:
Linucon (Austin, TX), Oct. 8-10'th.
Hangar 18 Austin will be giving a presentation on Plan 9 and other
non-traditional 'open source' operating systems and environments.
We will also give a short talk on the care and feeding of game
consoles. We will have a table where we will have several 'classic
computers' such as Atari 800, SX-64, and Amiga. Besides Plan 9 and
Inferno we will also be giving away material relating to Squeak,
Unununium, SkyOS, and MSWLogo.
We would like to ask that any Plan 9 or Inferno users or
organizations who have material they would like to contribute please
contact Open Forge for further help. Media, posters, t-shirts, etc.
would be greatly appreciated. All material will be given away.
Volunteers greatly appreciated!
