While still searching why and trying for a few more hours & just before giving up I had a look at the Ethernet PCMCIA card on my next laptop and decide to try with this one instead. Still no luck...Stuck at the same place. So while stucked, I unplugged the PCMCIA card and HERE IT GOES.... The installation process goes on just fine....!! I made a few more test but basically it's only when I'm inserting or de-inserting the card that the installation runs. So, if any pcmcia card is plugged before booting, I just have to unplugged-it when I'm stuck at : ..... 68462 free pages, 273848K bytes, 913848K swap Or plugged it at the same point if it was unplugged at boot time. Voil=E0...Now it says : "failed to star rio. you can...." but hey...."Chaque chose en son temps" I wish I could explain why but it's well above my competence. Bonne journ=E9e.. Philippe Lucky Luke
