All mail WILL go through a single Miscrosoft server that will charge everyone 40 cents for each mail message. Spammers won't be able to afford it. Problem solved. Won't need SPF because there will be only one mail server to read your mail from and to relay mail. The 1000000 users that aren't running microsoft and not using the server can spam each other all they want. --upas-casplvchdrpilmtaahsruvzapq Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Received: from plan9.cs.bell-labs.com ([135.104.9.2]) by plan9; Thu Feb 26 09:37:39 EST 2004 Received: from mail.cse.psu.edu ([130.203.4.6]) by plan9; Thu Feb 26 09:37:36 EST 2004 Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id 9FCA319BD8; Thu, 26 Feb 2004 09:37:24 -0500 (EST) Received: from psuvax1.cse.psu.edu (psuvax1.cse.psu.edu [130.203.4.6]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 20D6819BD8; Thu, 26 Feb 2004 09:37:20 -0500 (EST) X-Original-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Delivered-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id AD73F19BC8; Thu, 26 Feb 2004 09:36:48 -0500 (EST) Received: from mailwasher-b.lanl.gov (mailwasher.lanl.gov [192.16.0.25]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 87282199BB for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Thu, 26 Feb 2004 09:36:47 -0500 (EST) Received: from mailrelay1.lanl.gov (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by mailwasher-b.lanl.gov (8.12.10/8.12.10/(ccn-5)) with ESMTP id i1QEajeF030701 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Thu, 26 Feb 2004 07:36:46 -0700 Received: from ccs-mail.lanl.gov (localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]) by mailrelay1.lanl.gov (8.12.10/8.12.10/(ccn-5)) with ESMTP id i1QEajGB003601 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Thu, 26 Feb 2004 07:36:45 -0700 Received: from maxroach.lanl.gov (maxroach.lanl.gov [128.165.250.187]) by ccs-mail.lanl.gov (8.12.10/8.12.10/(ccn-5)) with ESMTP id i1QEajfQ018013 for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Thu, 26 Feb 2004 07:36:45 -0700 From: ron minnich To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Subject: Re: [9fans] pathetic In-Reply-To: Message-ID: MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII X-Scanned-By: MIMEDefang 2.35 Sender: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu Errors-To: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu X-BeenThere: 9fans@cse.psu.edu X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu List-Id: Fans of the OS Plan 9 from Bell Labs <9fans.cse.psu.edu> List-Archive: Date: Thu, 26 Feb 2004 07:36:44 -0700 (MST) X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.63 (2004-01-11) on psuvax1.cse.psu.edu X-Spam-Status: No, hits=0.0 required=5.0 tests=none autolearn=no version=2.63 X-Spam-Level: On Thu, 26 Feb 2004, Douglas A. They're pumping in 40-year-old ideas, claiming they are new, and claiming they'll fix something they done. Still, that's the PC biz for you. Anybody see that picture of Mr. Bill claiming he will solve the spam problem? quite funny. ron --upas-casplvchdrpilmtaahsruvzapq--
