Subject: [9fans] Staying up to Date
Date: Thu, 27 Jul 2006 10:37:06 +1000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <44C80AB2.9040000@exemail.com.au> (raw)
I recently installed Plan9 and am enjoying getting to know more about
it. The "Staying up to Date" documentation refers to the use of "pull"
for on-line updating. Executing this produces a request for a user name
and password, which I do not have. The same applies to 9fs. Earlier
Plan9 documentation says that an update account is required and that
instructions to obtain this are to be found at
http://plan9.bell-labs.com/plan9dist/newaccount.html. This page is
apparently no longer available and I'm unable to find any reference as
to how to go about obtaining such an account.
Any help would be appreciated.
John
