I've seen Acer Aspire 1350 (Athlon, ATI mobile Radeon, VIA chipset IIRC)
which won't boot almost any OS excluding WinXP SP1 and FreeBSD 5.2+.
I've tried Win9x, DOS, Linux 2.4.?, OpenBSD 3.5, Win2k to no avail.
Win2k/WinXP no SP installers pops up a nice BSOD,
and DOS/Win9x just hangs, when it tries to access HD
(30gb, primary and single on 1st IDE bus).

I've also tried different BIOSes, doesn't help. ACPI seems to work OK tho.

So, it _seems_ to me, like Acer forces their clients to use WinXP?
