Alef is dead, and cannot be brought back (licencing issues with SGI iirc) -- was it GC, though? Then there's Newsqueak, but I think that's just a proof-of-concept toy, and not very useable. But limbo is alive and available, and can be tried out under Windows, plan9, linux, mac (I think). --Joel
