This seems like a power problem. If you're using the USB port of a computer t= o power the RasPi, it is not going to provide enough current. Use a supply t= hat can provide an amp or more such as an apple iPhone charger (or a powered= USB hub). Check out the FAQ and newbie forums at the raspberrypi site. This= is also why you should try bringing up raspbian first.=
