(there are other non-routable ip blocks as well. check > iana's website.) you'll need to assign a routable address to your > server to contact it through the internet. to add to what erik said, isp's will not give you the same ip through multiple connections. if you have a domain, you'll need to use a dynamic dns service, or discover your ip everytime.
