Subject: [9fans] Need more help with Viper 550 (nVidia)
Date: Thu, 25 Oct 2001 09:00:42 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <50ecc828.0110241522.249087f2@posting.google.com> (raw)
I tried installing Plan 9 on my system with the Diamond Viper 550
today, following the instructions given at:
http://users.bigpond.net.au/nwaples/install.txt
During installation I got the rio GUI, and everything installed fine.
After I rebooted to run the installed system, I got the following
error:
rio: [handwriting intelligible] display:initdisplay: /dev/draw/new:
no framebuffer
init: rc exit status: rio 10: display open
When I try to start rio manually (riostart) I get the following notice
twice:
$wsys not defined
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
