I recently learned of plan9 and was really impressed; I decided to try and get rid of Windows XP and OpenBSD. The laptop boots the install CD, but this is the last thing I see "PBS1...Plan9 from Bell Labs ELCR: 06b8" It freezes right before loading the kernel. I believe this is because of De= ll's poor ACPI implementation; I have heard rumors of a buggy DSDT. Does anyone have any workarounds or fixes so that I can dive into Plan9?
