The registers which are used to move the cursor around where not on the same place. I printed them in the X in linux and got it to work, but a non-oficial driver around solved the problem better. After some time it started working with the sources version I think. It all had to do with the VGA bridge and having two VGA interfaces in the same VGA card. All the registers for the second VGA interface were offset. The driver was written for the first interface. I speak all this from memory... Probably someone else knows better. HTH.
