Subject: [9fans] Unable to mount home cdroms
Date: Tue, 25 Jul 2000 08:40:52 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <5Z_e5.6356$ga2.152682@newsread2.prod.itd.earthlink.net> (raw)
Hello,
For some stange reason I am unable to mount a cdrom that
I made. This CD was created with CDCreator on a windows
box it is in the Joliet format (I also did an ISO 9660 same
story ). The CD contains the plan9 dist files. I am able to
install plan9 from the CD via the boot floppy install
process, but once the system is up i get i/o read error
message. I am able to mount a RedHat 6.1 cdrom and WinNT
4.0 CDRom but not mine. Windows and linux have no problems
mounting the disk. Maybe I have the mount command wrong?:
BTW i only have IDE setup at this time (sigh..)
here is what I did to try and mount the thing:
% disk/kfscmd allow
% mkdir /n/cdrom
% disk/kfscmd disallow
% 9660srv -f /dev/sdD0/data CDROM
% mount /srv/CDROM /n/cdrom
Thanks in advance for the help.
