ah, yes! i can *see*...

just think about how many CRs we could save doing this? the entire /sys/s=
rc code base is just short of 2M lines (by my very rough counting). assum=
ing we only loose two or three per file for includes and the like, we cou=
ld free up most of that wasted space simply by eliminating newlines! then=
 we can move on to eliminating those pesky tabs and unneeded spaces. wond=
erful! but what on earth will we do with all that recovered space?
