Hell, you could start with 'cat -v considered harmful' some 25 years ago: http://harmful.cat-v.org/cat-v/ Unfortunately over the years it seems that the people with best taste have either left or died (of course there are some exceptions, like charles and brucee who still make it worth reading 9fans). I'm rather sad at all the linux/OS X apologists in this list lately.
