Forgot to say, your "layout", we build by mounting whatever we want.
We can mount all the devices at a single directory, or group them by
location:

for (l in $locations)
    mount -U /devs/x10!L$l /n/x10$l

You can always automate this, thus there is no need for force or write
a particular spec.
