brantley coile has contributed an x86 realmode assembler.
/n/sources/contrib/quanstro/realmode.tbz
using this it should be possible to write a 9load that uses
bios calls instead of drivers to talk to disks or nics to find a
kernel, a plan9.ini and start it up.
on a smaller scale, mbr.s could be rewritten without x16.h
