Drawterm isn't an emulation of a plan 9 terminal, just an emulation of a plan 9 terminal at the end of a connection to a cpu server. --upas-smrekcuydbrjwxxzzdqsffwkhr Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Disposition: inline Received: from plan9.cs.bell-labs.com ([135.104.9.2]) by plan9; Sat Sep 20 03:01:27 EDT 2003 Received: from mail.cse.psu.edu ([130.203.4.6]) by plan9; Sat Sep 20 03:01:24 EDT 2003 Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id DD57D19A27; Sat, 20 Sep 2003 03:01:16 -0400 (EDT) Received: from psuvax1.cse.psu.edu (psuvax1.cse.psu.edu [130.203.16.6]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with ESMTP id 50DAF19A27; Sat, 20 Sep 2003 03:01:12 -0400 (EDT) X-Original-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Delivered-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Received: by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server, from userid 60001) id 7641A19AF4; Sat, 20 Sep 2003 03:00:44 -0400 (EDT) Received: from one.mteege.de (one.mteege.de [81.2.131.61]) by mail.cse.psu.edu (CSE Mail Server) with SMTP id DA1BA19ADE for <9fans@cse.psu.edu>; Sat, 20 Sep 2003 03:00:35 -0400 (EDT) Received: (qmail 95637 invoked by uid 66); 20 Sep 2003 07:00:55 -0000 Received: (qmail 92850 invoked from network); 20 Sep 2003 06:59:57 -0000 Received: from gic.mteege.de (HELO mteege.de) (192.168.153.10) by 0 with SMTP; 20 Sep 2003 06:59:57 -0000 Received: (qmail 64552 invoked by uid 1001); 20 Sep 2003 06:59:57 -0000 To: 9fans <9fans@cse.psu.edu> From: Matthias Teege Message-ID: <86smms9c7y.fsf@gic.mteege.de> User-Agent: Gnus/5.090024 (Oort Gnus v0.24) Emacs/21.3.50 (berkeley-unix) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Subject: [9fans] Drawterm and fileserver Sender: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu Errors-To: 9fans-admin@cse.psu.edu X-BeenThere: 9fans@cse.psu.edu X-Mailman-Version: 2.0.11 Precedence: bulk Reply-To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu List-Id: Fans of the OS Plan 9 from Bell Labs <9fans.cse.psu.edu> List-Archive: Date: Sat, 20 Sep 2003 08:59:45 +0200 X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-0.5 required=5.0 tests=USER_AGENT_GNUS_UA version=2.55 X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.55 (1.174.2.19-2003-05-19-exp) Moin, with a lot of help from the 9fans my Plan9 network is now up and running. I have a cpu/auth- and a fileserver and I can remote boot terminals. After booting the terminals they are using the fileserver as expected. I also play with drawterm. I can connect to the cpu/auth server, authenticate a user and login. But if I login with drawterm, the filesystem isn't mounted from the fileserver but from the cpu/auth server. How do I tell drawterm to work like the remote booted terminal? I also have s problem with =AB9fs dump=BB. This command gives me =ABmount: mount /n/dump: attach -- bad specifier=BB. 9fs batida works and I can also mount the dump with: srv -q il!batida mount /srv/il!batida /n/dump dump Many thanks Matthias --=20 Matthias Teege -- http://www.mteege.de make world not war PGP-Key auf Anfrage --upas-smrekcuydbrjwxxzzdqsffwkhr--
