Topicbox-Message-UUID: c2d80ea4-ead1-11e9-9d60-3106f5b1d025 Hello! My name is Kyrre Nyg=E5rd and I'm a student at the=20 University of Bergen, Norway, currently doing=20 this school research project trying to document=20 the next generation of operating systems that is=20 starting to emerge across the world. Plan9 is to=20 me one of the most interesting projects, however=20 I was surprised not to find a group of developers=20 on the Freenode or OFTC IRC networks. Luckily I=20 found this mailinglist, so I'll just go ahead and ask. I'm not sure how important they may be to=20 you, but I would be very interested in looking at=20 the kernel output (e.g. dmesg in BSD) just to see=20 what I might expect. And also, if possible, a=20 listing of the Plan9 hierarchy? Preferably using=20 this file listing script:=20 http://paste.husk.org/6847. Anyway I hope it=20 differs from the utterly complex Filesystem=20 Hierarchy Standard, which may seem logical to=20 brain washed software developers, but to normal people pure madness. That's it for now I guess, thank you so much for your time. All the best, Kyrre From mboxrd@z Thu Jan 1 00:00:00 1970 Date: Sun, 1 Oct 2006 19:29:38 +0200 From: Kyrre =?iso-8859-1?Q?Nyg=E5rd?= To: 9fans@cse.psu.edu Message-id: <7.0.1.0.2.20061001192833.038f0658@broadpark.no> Message-id: <7.0.1.0.2.20061001183539.038e78a0@broadpark.no> MIME-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Subject: [9fans] A few questions, thanks! All the best, Kyrre
