the detailed history in some of the other articles on that site is fascinating.
it's amazing just how messed up people can get about operating systems and
similar programs (and how messed up they can make them).
it's also impressive how many people conclude that the way to
mend a poor o/s interface (or one's use of it) is to add an even bigger,
sprawling, complicated layer or two of `middleware'.
still, they are certainly good at spending money!
