Good morning.

According to unnamed sources will the Bell Labs move to France, due to
the merge of Lucent and Alcatel. To make the integration of the Bell Labs
into the french environment as easy as possible will it be renamed to
Frog Labs. "We followed the sarcastic history of the Labs and showed our
appreciation to our marketing people.", said a Bell Labs employee. Main
projects of Lucent will be renamed, like Plan 9 to Systeme 9. Glenda is
too anglo-american and will be replaced with "Maurice la grenouille"[0].
Other rumors say, that the main 9fans language will be forced to French,
but that was on IRC ...

Sincerely,

Christoph

to be a problem for most of the 1127 folks. What are they
going to do with the other 35 hours they used to spend working?

Still, the food might improve.

when lucent / alcatel were talking there would be some
disturbing loud utterances of "alcatel, alcatel. do you get
wafers with it?" in the unix room. guilty as charged, it was
mostly dhog and me.

it mattered little. we almost never ate sea-bird, and never dessert.

ALCATEL!
