Anyway, it has been established that the computer is a NEC Versa LX. I
just booted the cd yesterday, and it works quite nicely with the
"versalx" monitor setting. I'll probably install tonight or tomorrow.
However, I still don't have any answers on network options. Anyone who
has had success with PCMCIA wireless cards (especially on a Versa LX),
please reply and tell me what card you used.
