After being unable to install Plan9 on an IBM Thinkpad T21, I've tried several times to install it to the only other available machine, an IBM 300PL. Adding the '0xC004B="S3 86C366 Video BIOS"' to VGADB gets it to boot into graphics mode, albeit with the mouse pointer as a normal pointer accompanied by a 1" square of random pixels. I've gone step by step through the install up to creating the boot floppy. Attempting to boot off the boot floppies that it creates gives me the error message "panic: exception/interrupt 6" I've rebooted off the install floppy and told it to boot directly off the partition, with the same result. Where to now, or are IBM machines allergic to plan9?
