My client is "cao" and my cpu server is "crn". The /lib/ndb/nfs looks like this: !9fs tcp!cao .+ cao /n/cao/etc/passwd /n/cao/etc/group I run: cpu% aux/nfsserver -v -a il!crn -c /lib/ndb/nfs cpu% aux/portmapper -v on unix: % mount -o soft,intr crn:mtg /n/crn % mount: crn:mtg failed, reason given by server: unknown nfs status return value: 3 and get: mntmnt... host=192.168.153.11, port=608, root="mtg"...auth: 1107155531 cao u=0 g=0, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 20, 26, 139488...getdnsdom: 192.168.153.11 dom=cao.mteege.de...xfroot: mtg...xp=0...mntmnt: no fserror 3 ! 9fs tcp!cao...OK I try % mount -o soft,intr crn:/ /n/crn and get Stale NFS filehandle root...xfroot: il!crn...0@cao...no map for pair (il!crn,cao)...error 70 What maybe the problem? Do I need a enry for none in /etc/passwd? Many thanks Matthias
