The idea is to eventually eliminate all hard-coded paths. Those files that still contain them are either in lanugages alien to me (such as troff), or pertain to platorms with which I am unfamiliar (such as OS X). Hopefully, someone who's more familiar with those systems will be able to snipe off the remaining 5 paths.
