What's your best guess to where to start looking at the problem?

That's how I break it, but I thought it had to do with overwriting
programs while running them.
One test I guess I can run is to rebuild everything and do a diff between
the old and new executables to make sure that they are producing the
binaries between the machines. I'll see if I can come up with some other
ideas, but I will unlikely be able to spend much time on it as I really
should be focusing on hpd related stuff...
